"KABIS" - electronic catalog

To automate library and bibliographic processes, a licensed library program "KABIS" (Kazakh automated information and library system), developed by "Kazakh Soft" LLP, was introduced.

"KABIS.Standard " - automated information library program is designed to systematize the process of acquisition and processing of the library Fund, creating databases of electronic catalogs and providing information search on them.

"KABIS.Standard " consists of the following modules:

1. Administration-system and database administration module. Includes the following functions: creation, copying, compression, archiving, recovery of databases; import and export functions of bibliographic records.

2. Cataloging-the module is intended for bibliographic description of documents and creation of electronic catalogs.

 3.  Search and order-the module is designed to provide readers with a database search. Allows safe mode (read only) to search for literature in the electronic catalog, place an online order or print a list of references.

The electronic catalogue is the most important part of the library's work.       

 The database of the electronic catalog is represented by the following catalogs: "Books", "Articles", "Periodicals", " Abstracts of dissertations. Dissertations", "Proceedings of THE scpu faculty", "Electronic publications" and is constantly updated with biographic records of new literature receipts.
